What would they have done differently? Delegated authority and reacted faster than Obama. May or may not have worked, who knows, but Obama has failed miserably and there is little doubting that.

It wasn't a well thought out statement. If a muslim were planning on blowing up the airplane, he would probably be wearing blue jeans and a T-shirt.

He is 10 and very unhappy. I would suggest taking him for a physical with a kind doctor. Then maybe getting him signed up for some sports HE likes. It might take a while to find one. he probably has few friends but if he has any, work with that too. Do not belittle him. he feels bad enough as it is. his dad might get involved here too. Go for walks together, rid the house of excess junk foods. Maybe have the doctor call his mom. I feel for the guy. It is very hard to lose weight and diet. It i harder than stopping smoking. It has to be hell for a 10 year old boy.

I think that conservatism (at least, in the meaning used in Europe) is just one of the branches of liberalism (in the meaning used in Europe), which extended very much because of the great popularity of its ideas among different social groups, but it still remains one of its branches, exactly as neoliberalism, social liberalism or minarchism do.Eventually, we shouldn't forget that Edmund Burke, the father of conservatism, was not a whig...
