The double slit experiment and the delayed choice quantum eraser experiment.?

Can anyone explain HOW physicists eliminated the "measuring device" from being the cause of the collapsing wave function? I understand the conclusion, "observation" caused the change from wave band pattern to 2 single bands in the double slit experiment, but how did they eliminate the photon detector as being the cause? And can anyone explain the "delayed choice quantum eraser" experiment and the implications of it. There is just too much crap to sort through in WIKI and of all my physics books, none of them explain the quantum eraser experiment (and delayed choice q.e.). I am studying physics and quantum physics in my spare time but would really love these 2 concepts explained a little better.

Which is better on a BLT, crispy or chewy bacon?

Crispy bacon-that way when you bite in to it, you will have a clean bite. If you use chewy bacon, when you bite into the sandwich-you may come away with the whole slice of bacon being pulled out of the sandwich, because it didn't break the way crisp bacon will.

Me and my best friend had a "thing"?

So me and my best friend (girl) went to this party, and it was all fine and whatnot, there was fun and laughter etc. Now, me and her have had feelings for eachother in the past, but it was always sort of a buildup of feelings, we would start to notice some small feelings until it led up to the realization that we in fact began to have bigger feelings for eachother. But the timing was always bad with other people in the way, and so we just ignored those feelings until they went away. But anyway, that day, I was bringing her home, and she reached over and grabbed my hand. This wasn't a big deal, she's held my hand before in just a friendly way, so I just took her hand. And then there was just this sudden moment where my body went numb or something and I just didnt want to let go of her hand ever. So we pulled into her driveway and regretably she left to go inside. So that night I was on the phone with her and we had a normal conversation until she said "its better to be completely honest with you, even if it might mess up everything, right?" and I was like, yes of course. So it turned out that she was feeling the exact same thing as me. As soon as she took my hand, something just like... clicked. And so the following day was the worst ever. I wanted nothing more than to just talk with her for hours on end, but again cirstances are messing things up. I'm a little afraid here, because we both just got out of relationships recently that had gone on for about a year or so, and we are not ready to date, so the obvious thing is to wait. But this was different from the other times that I have felt things for her, and I'm a bit afraid that if I wait to long on this time, it might be our last chance... Or maybe I'm just paranoid. I'm just not sure what to do from this point on, so any help would be great!

How do you respond to a 6 year old going on 26?

The 6yr old sister of my hubby mimics how grown ups talk, as in she will says stuff like "Oh how are the kids doing? I cant wait to see the grandkids" Lately she has been asking really personal questions right in front of her parents and they dont say anything to stop her. She will ask stuff like "When are you and so and so gonna get married" or "Are you guys rich?" Not typical kid questions. Personally I think it is rude on the part of the parents because they dont teach her manners but Im not sure how to respond other than "Why do you want to know" How can I get my point across that I dont think this is cute and that she shouldnt be asking questions like that?

Why do we have 20/20 hindsight?

Is it because of intelligence, or upbringing, or just shear luck that some people make a successful life for themselves right from the start and others make mistake after mistake before they realize their missteps?

Ok so this girl I have had a crush on for along time is paying alot of attintion to me lately ,bit the thing is she has a boyfriend:( but something happened today that was different. This may not mean anything but I thought I would ask,so today in P.E and I walked up to her and so said hey and called me huffy ,cuase my last names hoofman,but pronounced huff.I thought that was unusuall .but then the rest of the day she cept stairing at me,but not in the way she did before .and at one point after cl she walked by me and stared at me the whole time ,idk way I'm asking ,cause I feel really stupid right now but do you think she likes me?
